That would make sense, because Allum knows as much about the sub as anyone. But there are no follow-ups yet on the project's Facebook page or website. Soon, presumably.
The ship's AIS signal comes and goes, but it appears that Mermaid Sapphire (mother ship of Deepsea Challenger) is currently holding station off Ulithi atoll:
The lander-tender Barakuda has not shown up on AIS maps since shortly before the deep dive, as far as I know.
